✨ Who Am I? ✨
My name is Cynthia, I traveled full-time for 3 years with my family. When we started, my youngest was 3 years old. As a family we have visited more than 35 countries, though we are big fans of “slow travel” as well.
Before we left the United States, we decluttered, packed up all of our belongings, and sold our house. We world-schooled and homeschooled our kids via tablets. We celebrated birthdays and major holidays on the road.
We are not backpackers, but we are also not luxury travelers. We prioritize unique experiences over hitting every tourist attraction. We budget carefully but also aim to be comfortable- which will look different for every family.
In 2024 we settled in Porto, Portugal. We did a ton of research before settling in Portugal, so we are happy to chat moving abroad from the US.

Most importantly, I cannot directly help you apply for residency in Portugal. I cannot give legal, tax, or medical advice. I am not a licensed therapist or a travel agent. I will not book plane tickets for you, get you discounts at an all-inclusive resort, or speak with the Portuguese government on your behalf..
What I can do is encourage you to embrace the life that is right for you and your family, point you to resources, and help you take the next steps toward achieving your goals.
I can share the wisdom that we have acquired, so you avoid some of the mistakes we made (though of course, you will make new mistakes as well!) I can help you move forward with planning your next steps with confidence.
